Embarking on my journey in 2004, a pivotal discussion with my mentor, Marty Jordan, unexpectedly steered my career from mental health to HR. Initially skeptical, I soon discovered HR's transformative power in crafting vibrant workplace cultures. My philosophy has since shifted from compliance to advocating for forward-thinking HR strategies that align with contemporary needs and goals.
As a distinguished HR professional, acclaimed keynote speaker, and influential podcast host, I'm on a mission to revolutionize HR practices and cultivate work environments that are inclusive and captivating. I stand at the forefront of human resources with over 17 years of extensive experience and advanced academic achievements, including an MBA, MHRM, a Certificate in E-commerce Management, and a SHRM-SCP certification. Currently, I am broadening my expertise by pursuing a doctoral degree in leadership and innovation.
Beyond my professional realm, I am a devoted mother to three sons in the US Navy, a dedicated dog mom, and an enthusiastic reader. My 25-year marriage to a fire department Chief further deepens my appreciation for commitment and service.
